7 week old lab puppy not eating

We just brought our puppy home from the breeder on Saturday 6/21.  When we got home, she chowed her food down rather quickly that evening and then did the same Sunday morning.  She did vomit yesterday afternoon and has only eaten 2 or 3 bites of the food that we offer her.  She has been drinking well.  We have followed the breeders instructions and soaked the food in warm water for about 15 minutes to soften it.  The breeder gave us some of the food that she has been eating so it's not that we have changed the type of food.  She instructed us to feed 3/4 cup of the food, 3 times a day.  Could she just not be eating because she is still adjusting?

Hi Amy,

A new pup may take some time to adjust but remember the golden rule - a Dog is an Animal and he will NOT die of hunger if there is food available. So dont worry about that.

Sometimes a pup takes time to get used to the food and start to what we call 'pick up speed'. Once your pup reaches that stage - he'll begin to eat voraciously and grow extremely fast.

Till then, you might need to pamper you little one and feed him with your hands. But be careful - you dont want him getting spoilt.

4 meals a day is good. However stick to your breeder's instructions.
