yellow lab with pink around the eye

We are picking up our yellow lab puppy tomorrow (9/2609). We are kind of concerned because while his eyes are green, around the eyes is very pink? Is this unusual? We are taking him to the vet next week, be we want to know if this sound ok to you..

What you've got is a Dudley lab.  

They are essentially yellow labs with the coloration of a chocolate lab.  The skin, nose, eye rims, pads, lips, etc. are all the same liver color that you would see in a chocolate lab.  Chocolates tend to have greenish eyes as pups.  Dudley's have the same greenish eyes.  

Nothing unusual, nothing to worry about.  The only thing about that color is that if you were interested in showing the dog in dog shows, this color combo is a disqualification.  But otherwise, it's a totally normal lab.
