Toy Aggression

I have an 8 month old lab that has shown toy aggression on probably 5 different occasions now. It has always been at my girlfriends house with her resident 5 year old golden retriever in the room. What are some good methods to avoid his aggressive behavior? I had though at first it may have just been one special toy but more recently he did the same type of thing with a toy they've shared on a regular basis in the past.

If this is just happening when the golden is around, the dog probably needs to go to a socialization/obedience class so that the lab learns to behave around other dogs. Have you taken a class yet? When you enroll, please talk to the instructor so that they can help you with this specific behavior.
