Limping/Food

Question
Hi, I have a 10 month old Choc lab that i only got 5 weeks ago. She started with a slight limp on her R Hind leg about a week ago. It doesn't seem serious as she lets me bend it/squeeze it etc without making any fuss. But it doesn't seem to be improving. Its only present on getting up after she's been lying down resting, and only last about 5 - 10 secs on getting up. she is currently fed on Royal Canin Medium Junior complete food. Should i now be feeding her an adult food? I read on your other answers that this slows down the growth process. Also I could really do with finding a cheaper food but don't want to jeopardize her health in doing so. She is soooooo Gorgeous and such a character. Thanks

Answer
I would talk to the vet about the limp.  There are a number of things that can be cured or the dog will grow out of.

As for the food, she is largely past the period of fastest growth and should do fine on any of the common brands of adult food.  I forget what is in the Royal canin, but I would try to stick to the same protein and carbohydrate.
