sleepy puppy

Hi Labman
Its me again. The pup is now nearly 9 weeks old and apart from 2 or 3 periods of 20 mins or so puppy play and fetch etc he is content to curl up by your feet and settle or actually sleeps.
Is this normal? I wondered if it was possibly just his nature..he is an affectionate little thing.

I don't think so.  Puppies vary.  Be glad you didn't get Calvin.  My friend said he never took naps, constantly into something.  Some do sleep a lot.  As long as he is energetic between naps, likely he is OK.  Since you are there all the time now, you might ask the vet next visit.
