Seasonal seizures in a black lab

Question
Our family adopted a female black lab May 2010.  She was seven years old when we adopted her.  Last winter she started to have seizures.  Took her to the vet, he ran a CBC blood test and everything was normal.  He said there was no physical reason for her to have seizures.  this past summer she did not have any, but she has had 2 in the past 2 weeks.  We heat our house with a wood pellet stove.  Do you think there is something in the pellets that are causing her to have seizures?

Answer
Seizures are difficult to diagnose, often not having a known cause.  Even with gas forced air, our indoor air is different in the heating season.  There could be something from the pellet stove in your air that is affecting her.  Is there any way you could get her away from the stove for a few weeks and see what happens?  If you find it does, it might give the vet a clue on a way around it.  Will you be traveling over the holidays?  Could she spend a few weeks with a friend or family and see?
