I have a eight month old female black lab. We think that she has gone into heat, and are wondering exactly how long should the bleeding last? How long does her heat last? We really are just looking for any information on this topic. As well; how long is a dog usually pregnant for?

Hello the cyckle normaly lasts 2 weeks with bloody discharge for about the first 6/8 days then it gets orangeish and then yellow or clear the later is when the male is Normaly allowed to mount thou I've seen female slet males mount earlier in the cycle. Pregnancy lasts anywhere from 60/68 days...norm is 64
