how much more growing does my yellow lab have?

Question
i have a yellow lab that is a about a year and a half.
he weights about 100 lbs. i think and he's about 33 inches tall while sitting down. i was just curious how much taller he's supposed to OR could get. his name is Baxter and everyone is saying we should have called him "CLIFFORD" and that he looks like "MARMADUKE" haha.
well i just hope that he doesn't get too big :)

thank you,
Michael

Answer
At a year and a half he has very little growing to do.  At a 100 pounds, he may even need to shrink a little.  Your dog definitely should be narrower at the waist than the hips and chest. You should be able to easily feel the ribs, but not see them.  Each dog is different.  Standard recommendations are a good place to start, but each dog must have its food and exercise adjusted to its individual needs. Here is a link to a good illustrated guide, http://www.longliveyourdog.com/twoplus/RateYourDog.aspx  It might not hurt to have the vet confirm your judgment of his weight.
