Husky pup agression

Question
We bought a female husky puppy last week and she was really quei the first few days but last night she started going for my socks so i told her no firmly.  Then she started barking loudly at me so i said no again then she barked back louder again and it looked like she was weighing up the options of whether or not to pounce on me.  She is the only dog we have and would like to know if this is just her trying to rule the roost if you will or if she is just got a nasty streak.  I have children here so i would like to know if perhaps she may eventually become dangerous because i don't want my kids hurt.  I know husky are not your normal family pet but i just want to know if there is anything to worry about.

Thanks in advance

Answer
It sounds to me like she was playing an then decided to sass you. If you have a crate, I think this would be a good time to start crate training her (giving her a time out) when she is behaving innapropreatly. She isn't being agressive but she is telling you off.
I would take her to an obediance class so you can peacfully resolve the domanance despute.
Siberians are very smart and will challenge anything you say if they think it will be more fun not so. Siberians are all about amuzing themselfs. Also call your breeder with your concerns. They might have some tips for you also.
I would also like to add, this breed was developed to live indoors with a family with small shildren.
