Wart-like growth on my Husky

Question
Hi, well today I noticed my 3 year old Siberian Husky licking and trying to bit his leg. I moved his hair around where he was licking and saw a light red, wart-like growth on his leg about the size of a large pea. This is the first time I've seen him giving attention to this area, but he seemed to be in pain when i put a little pressure on it. I was told by his trainer to watch it for a couple days and if it doesnt get any better then call his vet. But naturally, I'm worried about my best friend and would appreciate any information on any possibilities of what this could be. Anything you can think of would be very helpful. Thank you very much.

Answer
Hi Rory,

I am not sure what it is unless I take a look at it.  It might be a tick bite, but usually they have a black dot in them.  I would recommended having a vet take a look at it if it causes your husky pain.

Sorry, I wasn't much help.

If you have anymore questions please ask.

Thanks and Good Luck,
Laura
