my daughters new puppy

Question
My daughter recently bought a puppy who is a medium golden color and has light green eyes and a pinkish nose. The pup is 8 weeks old and weighs 13lbs. She is supposedly 75% Golden Retriever and 25% Labrador Retriever, yet is quite short-haired. Is it possible that she is mostly Golden Retriever but looks like a Dudley lab? We all love her and she's very smart. We wouldn't part with her in any case. Just curious whether we were misled.

Answer
The Lab look is quite dominant.  I see many many Lab/Golden crosses.  some of them may have a little finer hair, a wavy coat, and even a little feathering, but most look quite Lab.  I don't remember any 3/4 Goldens.  it is logical to expect a half Golden to pass on its Lab looks.

Note, Lab/Goldens are not always yellow, and Dudley refers only to the yellow Labs with pink noses.  Some have black noses, at least in the summer time.
