Question
Okay I have a female golden retriever she is now about 18months old. She is almost white and golden hues everwhere she is beautiful and purebred. She is a great dog and doesn't have any odd behavior quirks. She is a very happy baby and playful. Lately in the past three months she has started this nipping thing but to herself on her paws. She makes her paws bleed and I am worried. I took her to the vet and they gave us an antibiodic which didn't work so then I got her a second vet opinion and they tried a higher dose of antibiodic.... Still she continues to gnaw on herself and only on her two front paws. We heard from a golden breeder that the lighter ones have skin irritation problems. Is that true, any suggestions. I don't even know where to begin
Thanks

Answer
Hmm....tricky. Well check her paws for any hot spots. And notice when she nipps, is it after a walk or is totally random. I dont think your vet is helping out very much, so i would go to another vet and ask for his or her opinion. Sorry i cant say much without examining your dog. Hope i helped atleast a bit. Bye.
