trimming the dogs hair to keep cool

Do you recommend trimming or cutting a goldens, cape and feathers during the summer months. If you how would you cut or trim? I need to know what and what not to cut if any?

I had the exact same question. I do reccommend cutting or trimming goldens during summer. It keeps them more cool. But I would not reccommend you cut the fur yourself because you might end up with a weird looking golden. So i would take him to a place where they give haircuts and ask if it good to give him a haircut. If they say you should, ask if you can watch them cut the hair. They might say no. If your breeder can give your dog a haircut, they will for sure let you watch. If i were you, i wouldnt even give your dog a haircut myself. The groomers are always the best at.
