golden ritrivers remodiling =disaster?

  I would get a golden puppy but I have one problem I am remodiling. Is it a good time to get my pup and why?

It is good you are thinking about it.  Do you remember your last puppy?  They are very busy, and investigate everything.  They also carry off anything they can and chew them up.  Remodeling means power tools and their juicy cords.  Whether you are doing the work yourself of have a contractor, the project eats up your time.  Puppies are very time consuming.  They also will dart out a door the unwary is trying to carry things in or out.  They get underfoot.  

One argument in favor of it is housebreaking.  If your project includes new carpeting, it might be best to get the early part of housebreaking over with first.  ''Accidents'' often are more ''inattentions''.  Nobody has their eye on the puppy constantly, and some times they give very little warning.  There will be puddles.  You might also make sure any new carpet is stain resistant.
