Teeting Pomeranian

Question
Hi Trish, I am a proud owner of a pure-breed 8 week old Pomeranian, Rambo.  He is the cutest puppy I have ever seen, but he loves to bite things.  I know this is because he is teething, but we have multiple kinds of different chew toys, but yet his favorite, are my toes and fingers.  It doesn't hurt too bad (most of the time), but when I pull away my hands or my toes, he thinks it's playtime and he just keeps doing it.  If we put a chew toy in front of him (those Lance Armstrong wristbands are his favorite) he will chew on that for a bit, but then go right back to the toes.  I have read a few excerpts from question/answer websites like this one about this behavior but, I have a couple of specific questions:
1)  How long does this last?
2)  He doesn't seem to respond to me saying "no" or "owch", he just keeps going at it.  Is there something else I can do to teach him not to do it?
3)  What have you found works the best for chew toys?  (something he will chew on for more than 2 seconds)

Thanks Trish,

Bryan

Answer
1)  How long does this last?
Depends-once they get done teething... then they loose the baby teeth and adult teeth start coming in-if you see both sets have the baby teeth pulled.  They should have all theri adult teeth by 10-12 months old or sooner.
2)  He doesn't seem to respond to me saying "no" or "owch", he just keeps going at it.  Is there something else I can do to teach him not to do it?
Try this biting info site-

raw beef knuckle bones, raw duck or chicken feet should keep him busy for hours-the chewing is great for teeth and the calcium fromt he feet is very good for digetion. :o) Mine LOVE them.  You can get duck feet at most Asian markets.  Cheap too.

Enjoy his babyhood... it is fleeting.
