mypoms hair and his food

Question
Brandie, I read an answer where they asked about the pom's coat and the maturity. And they said the pom would be fully
grown at 2 years. Do I keep feeding my baby puppy chow until then or until 1 year of age?
And too, Jake is still soft and his hair is silky and shiny,
when does he get the "guard hairs" they talk about? He is chocolate brown with a white chest and has green eyes! He is absolutely gorgeous. He is 10 months old or will be Sept. 18, 2007. His birthday is Nov. 18.

Hi Karen,
Your little fuzz ball sounds beautiful.  Love the cho. color & green eyes! Jake should be fed puppy food until he is 18 months old.  He will have reached his full size at 18 months.  He'll start getting a harsher outer coat this winter.  His coat may stay some what softer then some poms due to his coloring.  Not to worry he will be stunning I'm sure.
