what human food can i feed her?

Dear Trish,
My name is Lynnsey Ross and I adopted sweet Isabelle from a shelter in June.  I immediately went out and bought dry food but she would not eat that.  THen I tried getting her to eat Pedigree little champions chicken and beef.  She ate it for a while but really wasn't eating all of it.  So we started feeding her human food.  We have fed her chicken, potatoes, watermelon, almost everything but chocolate.  I just need to get her on a healthy diet for her but at the same time get her to eat something that she likes.  Can you recommend food that I can get her to eat that would work to keep her healthy.  I have searched the website and really can't find any proper information.  Thanks so much for your help.

P.S. She has also gained a lot of weight and that is why I really wanted some advice for fear that the food i am feeding her is hurting her.

You shouldn't be feeding your dog anything but kibble.  If she is hungry-she will eat.  If you want to feed her people food then you need to check out the sites that cater to feeding dogs that kind of diet.  B.A.R.F. is one.  It is unhealthy for a dog to be over weight so you need to make sure she is getting enough excercise and the correct amount of food.
