QuestionHi my name is claudia i recentely took i year old pom from in old lady that coulden take care of him any more she was to sick but i have many problems the frist thing is that she doesnt remember when was the last time the dog had his shot.many people tell that since i dont know i should just give him the rabbis shot but am not to convince.my second problem is that he wont eat dry food ive tried so many and he wpould hardly eAT WET FOOD do you think if i just live it there we would eat it if his hungry.my third question is that when my dauther bends the dog humps on her back also on my leg my husband gets reaaly angry when he does that is there any thing i could do maybe if i buy i nother dog i dont know if thats i good idea please answer me quickly i dont want to give him away or put him to sleep.
AnswerI would wait a year to do the shots just in case he has already had them and waitng a year won't hurt. They don't need more than a couple in their life.
Second, when he is hungry he will eat. But if all he has had all his life is wet food you can keep feeding him that but giving dry is better for his teeth and if you want to just give that you can. He will eat when he gets hungry.
Lastly, is he neutered? If not, that will help a lot. Humping is a way of him trying to show he is alpha dog not just to breed. So by having him nuetered you can cut off the testosterone that is making him think he needs to be boss.
