Questioni have a male white/cream he is about 15lbs is this to large and why is he so large

AnswerPoms were bred down from a large arctci breed that was around 60 then 30 and now 3-7 pounds. SOmetimes we get what are called "throwbacks" and sometimes unscrupulous breeders breed them when they shouldn't or people who don't know anything about Poms breed them and then that size is perpetuated.
He is too big to breed but can make a wonderful pet. :o)
