Question
I have a male pomeranian that has only one testicle that has descended and he is 2 years old is ok to breed him.

Answer
Hi Meda,
Breeding is a choice that you need to take very seriously.  I appreciate you emailing me and asking my advice about it - it shows you want to do the right thing and are seeking opinions of others.
Retained testicles are a herditary defect.  It is passed down from the mother who carried the gene from her father. (you dogs grandfather would have been the dog who passed it along from all I've read).  Chances are the puppies would drop normal but any of his daughters that are bred would/could produce abnormal dogs.
Take care.

Brandie
