QuestionWe have a 12 week old pom - he has two spots on the his back where there is no hair - there was to begin with. The spots aren't bald, there is some fuzz and his tail has lost all his hair - it looks like a rat tail. I checked with the breeder and there isn't any skin disease in line - what could the problem be?
AnswerAll "lines" have skin diseases... somewhere back there :o)
But it could be a skin infection, mites, fles reaction, vaccine reaction, stress, hot spots... have your vet check it out.
Pups this age also lose coat naturally and grow it back in a few months.
