Grooming my Pomeranian

I hadn't taken my Pom for  to groomer in a while and he is old(11 years) and the groomer said she knew how to groom and I told her  if he gave her any resistence to call me and I would come and get him and pay her anyway.  She shaved my dog, Magic, and left only the tail bushy.  Needless to say I was very upset and left after I collected my dog.  This was in late June and I am wondering, Will my Pomeranian ever grow out?  On his back he has grown out some, but I worry that his collar and his beautiful characteristics will never grow out.  Please tell me they will.  He is solid black.  Thank you.

At his age it may never be the same but if he is healthy and still has a lot of years left in him then it may very well grown back.  Sometmes shaved Poms never get the same texture coat back so that will be somehting to watch for.  If it is going to come back it may take 4-6 months.
