pom puppy and boston terrier

Question
Hello!

I am thinking about getting a pom puppy, but I have a 5 yr. old male Boston Terrier (who is neutered).  I am wondering how they will get along.  My husband heard that poms can be tempermental and jealous of other dogs.  Is this true?  The Boston Terrier is my baby, bottom line!  How are poms with babies?  We don't have any now, but maybe in the future.  Can you help me, please?

Answer
Hi Shanna,

Poms are usually great with other dogs, especially if raised with them.  They are not tempermental, but can be jealous.  Most dogs can be jealous.  My folks have two rottweilers and they get jealous of each other.  Your best bet is to get another Boston Terrier.

Poms are not good with babies or young children under nine.   A pom could be seriously hurt by young children because pom's are so small.  Also, a pom will become snappy to protect itself.
