Question
Hi,
I just bought a pomeranian from Petland yesterday. My question is that he already has all of his front teeth out and even the ones in the very back of his mouth. His teeth are little and very pointy but, he is supposed to only be 2 months old and I was just wondering why he has all his teeth out already? He has been neutered also, what is the recommended age for poms to be neutered? and what is the normal age for their baby teeth to come out?
I also took him to the vet as soon as I got out of Petland and the vet was worried because he is a little quiet and still. I know that they are supposed to be very alert and active I hope that I just have to give him time until he gets adapted...He plays with you and even barks if you initiate the game but he won't initiate it. Also, the vet warned me that he had to eat on every meal she recommended 2-3 times a day and thankfully had has been eating well...
I will really appreciate any imput on these questions...
thanks you very much,
Yeisy

Answer
Those aren't "out" those are coming in.  He is teething-expect a lot of chewing.
Neuter should be around 6 months old.  You can do baby teeth at that time too.

If your vet is worried about hypoglycemia then you need to make sure food is available at all times.  Allow the pup to eat when and as much as it wants to keep its blood suger up.

There are gobs of links to Pom info on my links page. :o)  The experts archives have a lot of info too.

Best of luck with your little one.
