chewing on paws

My 9 month old female pom seems to be chewing on her paws a little more than she used to.  I remember reading somewhere that this is a nervous habit.  Is that true?  What can I do to stop her?

Buy the book "Cesar's Way" and try some ofhis techniques.  When you see her doing it "sshh" her firmly and give her soemthing else to do.  Make sure you are walking her every day for at least 30-45 minutes so she doesn't build up nervouys habits and make sure she is not having allergic reactions to her food or treats. :o)
