Question
I am considering adopting 2 pomeranians.  Do they shed? If so, how often? Are they good with children (ages 4 and 6)?

Answer
Poms are a spitz breed with a double cota-one of which is a downy undercoat.  This is usually shed twice a year.  They should be brushed regulaly to avoid matting and they do great with kids if they are used to being around kids and if the kids are taught to be gentle.  We have 4 kids (10, 8, 5 and 1).
Poms make great companion animals.
