house training my dog

hi we just got a dog about two weeks old and she is just a small pup yet she is only about 11 or 12 weeks old and my dad keeps saying that he is going to get rid of her becuase she is not making any progress and I keep telling him that it tkaes time to house train a dog but he doesn't listen to me.   so I was wondering if there is anyting that we can do to get her house broke faster.  and I am trying my hardest to wrok with her around my school schedele and my dad works nights and he is usually sleeping during the day.   so what can we do?

Hello!  Please forgive me for taking so long to answer.  It's the busiest time of the year around my workplace, so I've hardly had time to go online!  The best thing to do is learn her "bathroom" schedule.  Pups have to go quite often.  The most important times to take her out is RIGHT after she eats, and just as soon as she wakes up from a nap or even a long night's sleep.  That is the time when she will have to go the most.  Also, when she poops in the house, using some toilet paper, pick the poop up and carry it outside and show it to her.  Make sure she sees it and eventually she'll know that that is where she is supposed to go to the bathroom.  Be consistent!
