pom going trough uglies or is he mixed?

Hello!

My "pom" ( i put it in quotes cause im not sure if he's really purebred, the guy who seld him to me swore he is btu now im not so sure..) is 4 mos old and he is 28 inches (i measured him laying down from head to stretched out legs) and approx 8-9lbs.

he is shedding most of his coat and his ears are floppy instead of the characteristc pointed or round teddy bear ears.

is he going trough the uglies and will soon grow his full adult coat and hopefully his ears will go up or did i get ripped off?

Pom puppies go through these stages and it would be hard for me to tell whether or not he is purebreed without seeing him.

Ear do come back up but I would put him on a good vitamin
mineral supplement with calcium to help.

They come back into their permament coats at around 9 to 10 months.
