Hello!  If your Pomeranian is overweight, I would recommend a diet for him.  There are many different kinds of foods out there that are made to assist your dog in loosing weight.  Usually, they carry the "fit & trim" title.  Also, I would advise some exercise for your Pom.  Not excessive exercise, but maybe a little more than he's getting right now.  One more thing, Science Diet makes all kinds of foods AND treats that are good for dogs, and are not fattening.  If your local petstore or grocery store doesn't carry Science Diet, you can go to www.petsmart.com and they have all kinds of stuff.
