Question
Hi my name is Stacey I have a little female dog thats part pomeranian and part(chiwawa)sorry for the spelling, and she will be a year in December. She is a real protective dog and my sister wants to bring a full grown male pomeranian into the home. My dog hasn't really been around other dogs. And I was wondering the best way to have the dogs meet and get to know eachother so there wont be family problems? Please help?

Answer
Stacey,

Hello!  As far as I know, Poms are real friendly with other dogs.  However, the best thing to do is each of yall hold one dog (you hold yours and your sister hold hers) and slowly let them get closer and let them get a sniff of each other.  The reason you may want to hold them is in case they want to start a fight. Take caution though, in case one wants to bite you.  It shouldn't be too much of a problem because Poms are small and aren't very hard to control.  It may take them a little while, but your Pom may be happy to have a friend.  Just give them time to get used to each other.

Hope I've helped you and should you need anything else, please let me know!
