Pom Hair

Question
I have a female parti-colored pom and her hair is not as "fluffy" as the rest of her litter mates.  She is a little over a year old.  Her hair is much softer than their (and they are all males) but where their hair is "fluffy", hers is more "flat"  Do you know why this might be?

Answer
Hi Angelique,

It is due to genetics and breeding.  Did you get your pom from a backyard breeder?  These breeders do not breed for correct coat, termperment, etc.  Basically, they just take any two available dogs and breed them.  With that being said, flat or fluffy, I am sure your pom is just adorable!

Best Regards,
Carrie
