Pomeranian loosing hair

Question
My 21 month old pom had her first litter of puppies 10 weeks ago and she is loosing her hair.  Her chest belly and legs are very bare.  I'm not sure if it's from having puppies or something else.  She also is very skinny but eats all the time.  Is this something I need her to go to the vet for or is this normal?

Answer
For anyone else reading this answer :o) You should know the answers to everything you might need to know before you breed your Pom.  So that IF this were serious you would know.

It is perfectly normal for a bitch to totally blow her coat after a litter.  She should be wormed with panacure just before they are born and wormed again when they are about 6 weeks old so that you can combat any worms she may have injested and her puppies should be wormed as well.  Most puppies get worms even if you don't see them.  It is a good idea to just expect your puppies get worms.  Have them and the dam seen by a vet for a check up and to get pups vaccinated and wormed.

Best of luck.
