QuestionItook Toby my 18month old to a new groomer 3 days ago and they shaved his stomach and backside since i brought him home he has been acting strange he keeps rubbing his butt on the floor and is just not himself he is always so playful but just running and hiding under the bed.he does still greet every one at the door but then goes and hides after they come in i was wondeering if it can be from the shaving they done?
AnswerI have noticed when a dog is shaved very close their skin burns. Look for a shampoo at your vet or pet shop that has
a product that is soothing to the skin and will stop the uncomfortable feeling your pet is going through at this time.
I would also look for a leave on conditioner like Malacetic
which returns moisture back to the skin that has been shaved. Hope this helps.
