Answeryou should not choose a dog based on its age-choose it based on if you love it when you meet it. I will not tell you to buy a 1 yr old over a puppy-that is for YOU to deicde if it is better for you. Puppies are a lot of work.
You can't know how old a dog is like you can a horse by the teeth-ask your vet if you do not trust the breeder or seller-if you do not trust who you are buying from... don't buy from them. :)
Do not feed him ONLY cottage cheese. Buy a quality dog food from the pet store. I use IAMS. You can try others to see what he likes.
