Crying

Question
I just recently puchased a Pomeranian from a breeder a couple of days ago. He is 7 weeks old. I would like to know if it is normal for them to crying during the day when you are in the same room or in their sight? I have made an area for him in the kitchen so that I can keep an eye on him when I am busy. He keeps up such a fuss when in his area I can't get much accomplished. Is this normal? Is it okay to have an area for him so that he won't get out and around the house while I am busy? Should he be near me at all times?

Also, he tends to try and bite me at times and chew on my clothes. What should I do?

Answer
First of all I never let any of my Poms go before 12 weeks of age.  This little guy you have is just a baby and he
misses his mother and that is normal.

Most pet shops now have a disk that can be warmed in the
microwave and you need to pay attendtion to the details
when you warm it so it doesn't get too hot.  Wrap it securely with towels so the pup doesn't accidentaly get
burned.  I think when he has something warm to cuddle up
to (like he did with him mother) he will stop crying.

I would also suggest having this pup in a baby playpen or
an exercise pen where he can begin to feel secure again.
