Question
i just got my 8 year old pomeranian from a shelter and he has
some medical needs. I've been trying to give him antibiotics but
it has become impossible. At first i put it in his dog food and he
would not touch the food, then in chesse, but he realized right
away, then i got him to take the medication in rolled up turkey
slices, but he has now realized how to eat the turkey and not the
medicine. I tried putting it in hot dogs and i even put it in a
steak for him. Once he smells the medication he doesn't touch
it. I've tried to almost force it down his throat but he snaps at
me and spits it right back up. I'm out of options. Please let me
know if there is any other way.

Answer
I take from your email that this is a pill rather than
a liquid antibotic you are using.  You could ask your
vet if there is a liquid formula that you could use.

In the meantime check a couple of vet supply catalogs and\
they have a pill applicator that you can use on dogs and cats.  I have used them on several cats.  The big thing is
not to injury the dogs throat by using them and getting it
too far back.  It has a rubber end that holds the pill and
chances are you vet might have one of these too.
