how long after the mucus plug is discharged does it take for the puppies to be delivered and signs should i look for.

Answer
It depends on the number of puppies as to how long.  Sometimes the mother has to rest between deliveries for a bit.  As far as the mucous plug, I have been told anywhere from a week to 24 hours.  Signs should be restlessness, labored breathing, temp changes.  You should try to attend the birth since there are complications that can occur.  I hope you will consider having her spayed after this.
