Skin issues with blue/blue-tan dachshunds

I've heard there is a possible concern with the blue-colored
dachshund having skin problems, perhaps medically called "alopecia", or something similar.  Are you aware that the blue dachshund is particularly affected by this condition?  Thanks...

Yes, it is typical for blues to have some type of coat or skin issues.  We have had several blues and none have had a good coat - mosty very thin and balding in spots.  We have not had fosters with a lot of skin issues but with the dilute colors like the blues, it is not uncommon.  Hope that helps!
