QuestionHi, I ahve a 12 week old mini dachshund and I have noticed that he has a small bald spot just by his ear, he is black & Tan and is pure breed, with 5 Gen KC reg, - I am worried but I thought I would look before going to the Vet, he doesn't seem bothered!

AnswerNot sure what the question is, but it could be any number of things. He could have rubbed it - is he in a crate? Is it flaky looking? KC - could you mean AKC or CKC? That does not mean a lot and does not reflect on his health or his confirmation if that is what is worrying you. If it gets bigger or is flaky or itchy, I would definitely get him to the vet and at 12 weeks he should go for shots and/or checkup anyway if he had not had them. Usually he should have had at least one set of shots by now and probably the 2nd set at 16 weeks old, but let your vet look him over.
