dachshund will not eat very much?

My mini red piebald dachshund does not eat very much i was wonder what i could feed him to get him to eat more?

It might be the food.  Try switching to a higher quality more natural food.  Grocery stores sell natural food in a small fridge in the pet section, Wellness is a good brand, and there are others.  If you are leaving food down, take it up and only feed at meal times.  I feed my doxies twice a day and most dachshund owners do not leave food down as dachshunds tend to get too fat from eating too much, but this may also work for you if he gets excited and anticipates dinner and breakfast times.  You can also try adding a bit of garlic powder to the food or mixing in a little baby food (ie the beef, chicken, or veal).
