QuestionQUESTION: my 1 1/2 yr old dachshund has a loud gurgling tummy he does not seem sick he eats fine,no diarrhea,no throwing up, just loud gurgling sound coming from his stomach is this normal it sound like he hungry is something wrong...thank you in advance
ANSWER: It is not normal. Does he have a lot of gas? You should take him to your vet. It could be as simple as the food he eats - maybe he has a hard time digesting it - a lot of dog foods have meat by products and high corn content. I suggest getting him looked at to be sure there are no digestive issues or other problems.

QUESTION: he know has ben gas free for the last three days no sounds at all still eating normal. he was given table scraps pizza crust by a fried something he does not get often. should I still take him to the vet because his check up is in two weeks is it all right to wait until then?
He eats eubanka dry food he recently switched to this because the vet suggested Purina products were not good for him what would you suggest. thank you in advance
AnswerI cannot give medical advice legally but I will say that if he is having no sounds now and you know he was fed pizza - which is VERY high in carbs especially for a dog not used to it, and no gas, then I personally would wait for the 2 weeks but it might make you feel better just to call your vet and let them know what he ate and the reactions. My vet is open to me calling her all the time - which it seems like I do! Be sure to let your friend know that pizza crust is not good for him and please do not feed him anything. I have my dogs on expensive all natural foods and I would not let someone feed them - would just tell them they are on a special diet, but thank you anyway. Otherwise, it defeats the purpose of my feeding them high quality and healthy and expensive food. That does not mean they do not get treats and I share once in awhile, but I know what I am sharing.
