Red spots
I'm a new owner to a 9 wk dachshund and this morning she woke up and I noticed two red spots on her stomach. They look like an irritated mosquito bite or ant bite. They appear a little white in the middle (but not puss) with pink and then red around them. They don't seem to bother her as I have not noticed her licking, scratching or nibbling on them. I don't know if I should just continue monitoring them and her or take her to her vet.
AnswerThanks for the picture - one looks like a little infection but it is hard to tell yet. It can take several days to fill up. I would monitor it closely. At 9 weeks has she had her shots and been wormed? If not I would get her to the vet for that and have them look at the spots while there. Definitely go if they get larger or start to multiply or ooze.
