Questionthis is my first english bulldog,it is 9 wks. old and when it plays it likes to bite a lot, i have a 6 yr. old son who walks around the house ,and the puppy likes to bite on his toes also if we lay on the floor the puppy will bite us were ever she can, the face , arms, toes, legs where ever she can ,she also bit him hard enough to make him bleed once.is this normal behavior for a puppy?if so when will it get over the biting stage?
AnswerThe only social reference puppies have they learned from their siblings, which is growling, biting and playing rough. Until you teach them otherwise, this is the behavior they know. Puppies don't come to you knowing how to interact with humans. It's up to you to put in the effort to train the puppy so it can become a well adjusted family member.
