Question
Our 7mos old bully can't be trusted. I so want to keep her out of her crate. She is crated at night and during the day. We have a play pen for her but she started having accidents after a month of perfect behavior for no reason. She has a walk everyday by either myself or we have a hired dog walker who comes at lunch time. I want to give her free run of the house but she gets into everything, she ate the coffee table, steals the clickers etc. At what age will she calm down and be better behaved? She know all her commands. After work she eats gets another walk and then when we come back inside she goes crazy running around, stealing my shoes, flip flops, underwear, sox anything of mine she could get her mouth on (not my husbands ever) why? She also insists upon playing with her toys up against me while growling or on the front of the the couch if I'm sitting. She wants to play tug of war with everything including her leash. She follows us everywhere.  She also ankle bites me and grabs onto my pant legs and rarely does this to my husband. She nips my hands too. What gives, why me? (lol) (we both feed her but I seem to spend the most time with her)

Answer
Congratulations. You have one of the ADHD Bulldogs. This behavior may never end or not at least for a coupe of years. If the dog isn't spayed, that will help. Taking her to obedience classes will also be a plus. Being left alone all day is part of the problem. This is classic separation anxiety behavior. You're the person she's most attached too, therefore, you benefit from all the bad behavior.

Keep in mind, she's still very much a puppy too. I don't leave dogs loose in the house until they're at least a year old and then not if I'm going to be gone more than 15 minutes or so. That's what crates are for :o)
