Question
We are considering getting a second boston terrier.  WE have a 1-year old male who is great and playful with other dogs.  Do you think another male would be better or would it not matter?

Answer
Hello, No do not get another male expesially another male boston terrier there will be fights and one dog will need rehoming once the younger one is matured. I am currently having fights with my male 2 year old Neutered jack russell terrier and unspayed 6 month old Boston terrier! Always try get a dog of the oppisate sex when adding a second dog. when people have more then two dogs and are adding another dog its quite hard getting one that fits in with everyone(my current problem). Get a female for sure or a different breed but still female teriers arent great together, even thou you will have male/female pair they can still fight, Terriers even the loving boston don't relaly like other dogs. But if yuo relaly want another get a female and a young one like 6 to 9 weeks old and you should do ok. Be sure to have either dog altered thou or you will have lots of unwanted puppies.
