Question
Hi, I rescued a stray dog and managed to find his owner and returned the dog. He was a neutered male about 3 years old. Because I could see his ribs and backbone, and he had very long toenails, I thought he had probably been lost for 2 weeks or more. He was well mannered but surper hyper. The owner said that he runs so much he is hard to keep weight on. Is that typical of Bostons? or is he being underfed?

Answer
Hi Jean:  Well, there are many Bostons who can show some ribs... I am wondering why his claws are so long.  If he runs often, he should be wearing down the claws himself...

I can't give you an answer without seeing this little one.  Just not sure if he is neglected or not... Sorry, I just can't give your a 100% answer on this.

Thanks for being a good Pet lover!
