Question
I have a 5 year old male Boston Terrier. I just got him fixed about2 months ago and he has acted different when I tool him back for his 2 week checkup I told her that he was acting more aggressive not mean, but would bark more seemed a little more excitable and anxious. She said she didn't believe it was do to the surgery. he has put on 3 pounds and so I am exercising him more, but my question is today he just swatted and peed on the floor right in front of me and then ran and hid. He was so easy to train as a puppy and has alsways been so obedient could there be a medical reason for this behavior?

Answer
Hi Lisa,

Your poor baby. He is just having an adjustment issue right now. Getting fixed also means estrogen/testosterone adjustments. Look at it like he is going through male menopause. This can take some time for him to adjust. Give him extra love as well as excercise. The activity will help with mood elavations and the love will assure him that nothing has changed between you. He will get back to norm soon...not to worry.
