Question
Hi Marie,  I have a year old Boston Terrier.  He has had diarrhea and very soft or loose stool since I got him at 12 weeks old.  He has gone for a slew of tests.  All come back normal.  We had him on special food from the vet and this didn't work out.  So the vet said we could try pet store food.  We started him again on Dick Van Patten's duck and potatoe (allergy free) and he did sometimes ok and sometimes not.  I also have another Boston (2years old).  I decided to put them both on the same food.  So then I went back to the store where we bought Riley (1yr. old pup) and got Pro Pack, lamb and rice.  Still, very, very soft stool and sometimes very loose.  I am almost done with that bag and now I don't know what food to give them.  Please help.  Riley is thriving and looks wonderful except for this problem.  I was going to now try the Iams.  I heard Wellness if ok, but expensive.  Or maybe go back to Dick Van Pattens Natural Ballance venison and sweet potatoe.  Any suggestions you have will be appreciated.  Thanks so much.  Annette

Tootie loves her NuVET
Hi Annette, Sure, I would love to help you and your Boston Terrier...

I see what the problem may be - Digestion and yeast....( all related to allergies)  **/ environmental and food.

 I would love to see both your kids take this program - It will be excellent for even a healthy doggie kid!

~~~~ Please place both of them on Flora Force Probiotic by Nature's Sunshine :
Give the baby 1 per day very long term ( 4-5 months)
Give the 2 yr old 1 per day for 3 weeks.
This will get rid of any excess yeast in the belly. ( good to do a few times a year to get rid of toxins)
order here: FRESH from the Manufacturer...
~~~~~ Next - Please place both the kids on a grain free diet-
My favorites are:  Innova EVO, Wellness Core ( OCEAN) or Merrick BEFORE grain - again ocean if they have it.

If you want to do a little "home cooking" SOJO
green bag - grain free is Wonderful - all you do is add your lightly cooked meats to the sojo mix... YOU can mix up 4 days and place in the fridge...
You can also freeze it up, and take out what is needed.
LOADS of my clients eat the SoJO diet 2 x per day...
Fine for any dog over 9 months of age.

SLOWLY DO THE CHANGE OVER - TAKE ABOUT 2 WEEKS OR MORE:  Mix your old food brand with the new food brand - ( a 50-50 mix)
YOU can take even 4 weeks to do the full change over - So you won't upset the intestines.

Ok, for the baby - Please give 1/2 of a metamucil cookie / wafer per day - they make 2 cookies to a pack - your Boston needs just 1/2 per day - Long term - adds fiber and bulk - helps to get the stools formed.
The taste is good Apple of Cin flavored cookies.

A Must for the two doggie kids...NuVET Wafers:

NuVET aides in Digestion/ Allergies and is an Immune System booster...

Give each of your Bostons 1 wafer per day / long term....

NuVET is also great for his joints, hips, legs, heart ..... allergies...Bostons are prone to JOINT problems.... this helps!
SEE here: ( not sold in stores - Holistic )
this is not a drug....
