Question
My female BT 3years and 9 month old,otherwise healthy and not overweight, had her first GM seizure on 2April 2:45am,lasted no more than 1.5min and had her second seizure 2May 2:50am I think 1min. I'm from a small town and our vets do not have facilities for ct scans etc, and I dont know if I feel they know enogh about seizures. My question is weather I should take her to a facility that can do all the testing.THere are no epileptics in her lines that I know off, and she's suffered no head trauma.The only thing that I can think of is that the 1st time she sneezed a lot because of perfume two days before the seizure. the 2nd I cant find any similarities. Can it be a brain tumour?(also none in her lines that we know of). Please help me, I don't know what to do, any info will be helpfull?

Answer
Hi Eloise.  I'm sorry, but when it comes to seizures I really am not qualified to give you much advise.  However, I do recommend that you keep a diary and record the following information on each seizure;

The time of day the seizure come on.  How long the actual seizure lasts.  Recovery speed - did he recover right away with on complications or does he have complications that follow (such as short term blindness.)

Record all things - even if it seem unimportant to you at the time.  Any and all information that you can supply to your vet (or specialist) will be very helpful.

Seizures can be the symptom of many disorders - including brain turmors, but without a cat scan.

Good luck, and please do not hesitate to contact me if you have additional questions.
