QuestionWe have a 3 1/2 yr old neutured male Boston. He is very friendly to all and attached to our family. We are purchasing a female puppy and we plan to have her spayed. She seems like a sweet little girl and we will pick her up in October when she is 9 weeks. This is our first go at being a 2 dog family. Our male has had very little exposure to other dogs, but on those occasions he has not exhbited any agression. Any advise or suggestions for making this work? How should we prepare for the new arrival? How should the first meeting be handled, etc...? THANKS
AnswerHi Michael....
What fun you will have. Like pringles, you can't just have one Boston Terrier. Sounds like your male is well adjusted. I do not anticipate any problems. I would just make sure to be around whenever they are together. If you have to go somewhere I would separate them only because he may get too excited in play. When she is a little bigger, she will be able to hold her own in the play. I don't think there will be any aggression from either one.
